PhD in Electrical Engineering Sciences with a specialization in Digital Signal and Image Processing from the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados (Cinvestav) of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Guadalajara campus. Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering Sciences with a specialization in Digital Signal Processing and Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Guanajuato.
From 2003 to 2009 he worked for the Ministry of the Navy of Mexico, managing the delivery-reception process of satellite images processed at the Mexican Reception Station of the SPOT (ERMEXS) Constellation. From 2010 to 2013 he was a member of the Academic Board of the PhD program in Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Valles University Center of the University of Guadalajara. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
He has worked at ITESO since 2011 as a research professor in the Department of Electronics, Systems and Informatics (DESI), in the Basic Academic Unit of Computer Sciences.
Field of expertise: Digital signal and image processing applications, signal processing from remote-sensing systems, dynamic adaptive processing of real-time systems, and development of digital processing methods based on high-performance computer graphics.
Research projects 2015-2016
Development of Adaptive Models for the Digital Processing of Multispectral Remote-Sensing Signals and Their Implementation as High-Performance Software. ITESO collaborators: Dr. Hugo Iván Piza Dávila and master's degree students.
