With a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP) and a specialization in advanced materials and nanomagnetism, she studied magnetic dipolar interaction in networks of parallel and crossed nanowires, as well as the control of magnetostatic anisotropies in magnetic micro- and nanoporous composites.
She is currently a professor at ITESO, where she teaches the course Synthesis and Characterization I in the Nanotechnology Engineering program, and belongs to the BUAP of advanced materials and nanotechnology, and the formal research program on advanced materials. She is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI, in its initials in Spanish), at the candidate level.
Her field of knowledge or specialization is the Synthesis of nanostructures using chemical methods and electrochemical deposition, Flexible and wearable electronics, The study of magnetic and electrical properties in nanostructures, and The study and fabrication of nanostructured sensors.
At present she is the technical coordinator of the research project "Fabrication of non-invasive nanostructured biosensors for the periodical monitoring of glucose for the timely detection of diabetes mellitus"; she also participates in the research project "Modeling and optimization of microbial electrolysis cells (MECs) for hydrogen production from agro-industrial wastewater," which are interdepartmental projects at ITESO. In addition, she is co-director of the master's degree thesis "Flexible circuits based on polydimethylsiloxane" of the Master's Degree program in Nanotechnology at the Instituto Potosino en Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (IPICYT).
