Accreditations
ITESO is a university renowned for its academic excellence, with a strong commitment to enhancing people’s quality of life and addressing both local and global challenges. Its high academic standards have earned national and international recognition through accreditation processes that evaluate and endorse the quality of its educational programs and institutional performance.
The Mexican Ministry of Public Education (SEP) has twice awarded ITESO the Recognition for Higher Education Institutions with High-Quality Programs. It is also the first university in the state of Jalisco to be officially recognized as an Institution of Academic Excellence.
ITESO, the Jesuit University of Guadalajara, is a member of the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES) and is accredited by the Federation of Mexican Private Higher Education Institutions (FIMPES).
Among private universities in western Mexico, ITESO stands out for having the largest number of faculty members in Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNII), the highest number of published academic books and journals, and the most comprehensive library in the region across multiple disciplines.
All of ITESO’s undergraduate programs are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (COPAES) and the Inter-Institutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CIEES) through systematic and voluntary evaluation and monitoring processes.
At the graduate level, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) stands out for the international accreditation by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), making ITESO the sixth university in Mexico to receive this distinction, granted to fewer than 300 business schools worldwide.
These accreditations confirm ITESO’s commitment to academic rigor and to offering the conditions necessary for transformative education. They also reflect a continuous pursuit of educational quality and serve as a way of being accountable to society through the adoption of best practices in national and international higher education.
