Why study at ITESO?
It is the first university in Jalisco to be recognized as an Institution of Academic Excellence by the Mexican Ministry of Public Education.
ITESO is the first university in Jalisco to be listed as an Institution of Academic Excellence by the Mexican Ministry of Public Education. With a faculty made up of professors and researchers who are leaders in their areas of knowledge, up-to-date study plans, and an infrastructure designed for the development of individuals in their multiple dimensions, ITESO offers education for life.
The campus
ITESO has more than 8,000 students and over 23,000 graduates. The campus includes 41 buildings spread over 40 hectares, and is well known for the balance and harmony of its buildings and green areas. The layout of the built and landscaped spaces creates an environment that stimulates the intellectual, emotional, spiritual and physical development of our students.
It has modern educational infrastructure, a sophisticated network of information and technology systems, state-of-the-art laboratories for different disciplines, athletic and recreational facilities, as well as areas that promote students' interaction with nature.

ITESO in the Primavera Forest
27 hectares in the Flora and Fauna Protection Area, located in the core and recovery areas of the Primavera Forest, have been designated for environmental education and comprehensive sustainable management activities, as well as for the promotion of an environmental culture for the conservation and protection of nature.

An ecological campus with over 3,000 trees, outdoor work areas, smart buildings and facilities adapted for people with special needs.
Two arboretums (palm trees and dry tropical deciduous forest species), areas reserved for conservation, reproduction, scientific research and environmental education.
148 classrooms equipped with audiovisual, network and energy-saving systems.
Five auditoriums with seating for up to 6,000 people.
Athletic facilities: soccer and baseball fields; tennis, basketball, volleyball and beach volleyball courts; gymnasium; and track-and-field facilities.

Information and technology for all
ITESO is the first university in Mexico to provide wireless and computer network services for all, including visitors, with services and applications for electronic devices, PDAs and laptops.
ITESO offers an online platform with more than 1,500 distance education courses.
Library with over 450,000 volumes, capacity for 600 users working simultaneously, online databases and cafeteria.

Over 50 specialized laboratories in: electronics; device and prototype assembly; computer systems; industrial, mechanical and chemical engineering; process simulation; psychology; sport psychology; television; radio; photography; design; multimedia; and languages. Color printing area with laser printers, 3d printing, plotters, a stereo-lithography machine, CD and DVD burners, a large-format scanner, laser cutters, among other services.
Graduate School Building: 35 classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology and high-quality educational furniture. Auditorium, videoconference room, classrooms equipped for conferences and workshops, work areas for PhD students and guest professors. The building also has an exclusive module for graduate students with administrative offices and academic record services.
Information Technologies Building: a place where our university community experiences and participates in the world's latest technological advances; a place with the tools needed for developing knowledge and creativity.
Design Innovation and Workshop Building: The TID (in its initials in Spanish), as it is commonly known, is remarkable for being a sustainable building. It complies with every specification required for LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), which is awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council and recognized around the world. The TID will be the first building in Jalisco to be awarded this type of certification.
