School of Basic Oral and Written Communication Staff
Alejandra Sánchez
I hold a PhD in Humanities, a master's in Mexican Literature and a bachelor's in Spanish Literature. I have been a teacher for over twenty years in these areas. I am currently the Coordinator of the School of Basic Oral and Written Communication within the Language Department at ITESO. I work in the areas of teaching, coordination and investigation, as well as in university studies and academic literacy.
The students and teachers I work alongside with are what drive me. I firmly believe that academic activities should not be separated from the human condition—recognizing others, respecting and empathizing with them will determine any formative aspect.

Karina Rengifo
I hold a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, a master's in Linguistics and a PhD in Humanities. I have been a teacher in these areas by vocation for over 15 years. I adore reading and writing and conceive reading, writing and oral communication as powerful tools for learning and developing critical thinking. I enjoy helping students find the logic of the texts they face, as well as showing them the way to structure their ideas for written production.

Minerva Ochoa
I am Minerva Ochoa, teacher by vocation, life-long reader and linguist. I truly enjoy the formative work in the areas of language, communication and literature. I am convinced that learning to speak, read and write correctly and appropriately for various contexts is learning to think and reflect better.
I really appreciate working in tutoring because it is a modality in which personalized attention can be offered and a team with common goals can be formed with each applicant. In addition, I really like to design environments and activities that generate learning and solve specific difficulties.

Valeria Parra Gregory
I studied Political Science at the National University of Colombia and later a master's degree in Journalism at the University of Los Andes. Thanks to this training, I had the opportunity to understand the value of reading, writing and orality in learning. I have been teaching for seven years, accompanying these processes at undergraduate and graduate levels, with the purpose of contributing to the formation of critical citizens capable of expressing their ideas and understanding those of others.
Likewise, I have participated in the design and implementation of teacher training processes, as well as in the coordination and development of one-to-one tutorials to strengthen academic communication skills. These activities have been linked to research in the areas of pedagogy, academic writing and political communication.
