Camilla Mileto
y Fernando Vegas

Universidad Politécnica de Valencia
Doctors architects and professors at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Their work focuses on architectural restoration and new construction, reinterpreting traditional materials and techniques. They have developed projects and works for Gaudí's Finca Güell in Barcelona or the Alhambra in Granada, among other monuments and unique buildings. They are directors of Loggia magazine and partners in Spain of the UNESCO Chair of Earthen Architecture, Constructive Cultures and Sustainable Development. They have national and international awards for their research, publications, teaching, projects and new construction, restoration and intervention. They are elected members of the Académie d'Architecture de France in Paris.




Catalina Ortiz

University College London
Colombian urbanist and educator, with a degree in Architecture and a Masters in Urban and Regional Studies from the National University of Colombia. D. in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Fulbright scholar. With more than two decades of experience, she has worked in teaching, research and consulting for international organizations and governments in urban projects and territorial planning. She is currently a Lecturer in the Development Planning Unit at University College London (UCL) and Director of the UCL Urban Lab, leading studies on spatial justice and inclusive planning.



John J. Betancur

University of Illinois at Chicago
Professor in the Department of Urban Planning and Public Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). His main area of expertise is community and economic development, with a focus on globalization, gentrification and relations between African American and Latino communities. He has worked on urban planning projects in both the United States and Latin America. Author of multiple academic publications, including Claiming Neighborhood, he currently continues to research urban change dynamics and teach at UIC, where he has been recognized with the Silver Circle Award for teaching excellence.




Leandro Hoyos Urrea

Profesionista independiente
Architect from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, with a specialization in Product Design and Development and a master's degree in Sustainable Habitat and Energy Efficiency from the Universidad del Bío-Bío in Chile. His professional career focuses on architectural and product design for sustainability and energy efficiency. He has developed projects in architecture, handicrafts, hospitality and tourism, in addition to being a teacher and researcher at various universities. Currently, he is a full time professor at the Catholic University of Colombia and directs his company LEHO S.A.S., focused on design and consulting in sustainability.





Loris Antonio Servillo

Future Urban Legacy Lab / Politecnico di Torino
Full Professor in Territorial Planning at the Politecnico di Torino and Director of the Interdepartmental Research Center “Future Urban Legacy Lab” (FULL). His research focuses on local development policies and territorial and urban regeneration, with emphasis on spatial justice within the ecological and digital transition. He has developed strategies to revitalize mountain areas and address contemporary urban issues, including the effects of tourism and the integration of new urban populations. He also works on the valorization of green and blue infrastructures as part of urban regeneration policies.




Lucas R. Ivorra Peñafort

Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá
D. in Philosophy from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia and Master in Environmental Management from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Specialist in sustainable design, circular economy and responsible production and consumption, he has more than 16 years of experience in ecodesign project management. He has worked with international organizations and governments in environmental strategies. Currently, he is an assistant professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, coordinator of the Design Factory Javeriana Bogotá and consultant in sustainability and circular economy, leading environmental innovation projects with social and productive impact.



Merata Kawharu

University of Otago
D. in Social Anthropology from Oxford University and a specialist in indigenous economic and cultural development. She has worked on research projects on Maori entrepreneurship, resource management and cultural heritage. She has led multiple research projects funded by the Marsden Fund and the New Zealand Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. She has been a lecturer and researcher at the University of Auckland and the University of Otago. She is currently Deputy Vice Chancellor for Maori Affairs at Lincoln University and runs Nukuroa Consulting Ltd, focusing on sustainability and indigenous community empowerment.



Susann Baez Ullberg

Uppsala Universitet
D. in Social Anthropology from Stockholm University and lecturer in Cultural Anthropology at Uppsala University, where she is also director of undergraduate studies. Her research focuses on the anthropology of risk, disaster management and climate change, with fieldwork in Argentina, Peru and Sweden. She has led and participated in projects funded by the European Union and several Swedish foundations. She is currently researching climate resilience and water management in crisis contexts, combining her expertise in risk analysis and environmental ethnography.

Annalisa Dameri

Politecnico di Torino, Italia
D. and full professor of History of Architecture and the City at the Politecnico di Torino. She has been vice-coordinator of the PhD in Architectural and Landscape Heritage and scientific liaison for the restoration of the Valentino Castle, a UNESCO Heritage Site. Her research focuses on modern and contemporary urban and architectural history, with more than 200 publications. He has collaborated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, as well as with the UNED in Madrid. In 2012 he received the Lerici Foundation Award for his research Paper Cities.



Paolo Mellano

Politecnico di Torino, Italia
Architect and full professor of Architectural and Urban Composition at the Politecnico di Torino, where he headed the Department of Architecture and Design (2015-2023). He coordinates research funded by public and private bodies, in addition to organizing exhibitions, conferences and design workshops. Between 1989 and 2013, he co-directed the firm Bruna & Mellano, obtaining recognitions such as the Young Architects Award of the Accademia di San Luca (2003) and participating in the Venice Biennale (2002, 2004). His work has been published in magazines such as Casabella and Domus. He was president of the Italian University Conference of Architecture (CUIA).




Máximo Ernesto Jaramillo Molina

University of Guadalajara, Mexico
Academic and activist from Guadalajara. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from El Colegio de México and a degree in Economics from the University of Guadalajara, where he currently works. He was awarded the National Journalism Award in 2022 and the National Public Policy Award in 2024. He is a member of the Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) program at the London School of Economics (LSE). His academic and advocacy work focuses on social and economic inequality, actively contributing to research and public policy formulation in Mexico.




Víctor Delgadillo

Autonomous University of Mexico City, Mexico
Ph.D. in Urbanism from UNAM, M.A. in Urban Planning from the University of Stuttgart, and Architect from the Autonomous University of Puebla. He is a research professor at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at UACM and a part-time professor in the graduate programs in Urbanism and Architecture at UNAM. He is a Level II member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNI). He has served as an advisor for UNESCO and UN-Habitat on urban planning and international best practices. His research focuses on urban heritage, the right to the city, gentrification, and the financialization of urban development. He has published over 150 articles and 13 books, including Destruction and the Future of the City in the Age of Social Isolation and Urban Waste (2023) and The Real Estate and Tourism Siege on Urban Heritage (2022).

Caterina Rondoni

Universidad de Ferrara, Italia
D. and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Ferrara, collaborator at the University of Santiago de Chile and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Specialist in structural transformations of agrifood systems, environmental justice and human rights, she has worked as a researcher for several institutions in Latin America and Europe. Her studies have focused on food security and sovereignty, land and water grabbing, and policy coherence. Currently, she continues to develop research on agri-food sustainability and its socio-economic implications in different territories.



Chloé Morhain

Escuela Nacional de Trabajos Públicos del Estado
D. in Urban Planning from the University of Lyon, specializing in youth mobility in metropolitan and peri-urban areas. Her research addresses the intersection between mobility, housing, user practices and local public policies, applying mixed qualitative and quantitative methodologies. She has worked on projects on autonomous vehicles and pedagogy, coordinating the development of the serious game RoboSpectif (2017-2018), used in France and internationally in collaboration with universities in Lyon, Granada and Guadalajara. Currently, he continues to explore the impact of mobility on urban planning and sustainable development.



Matias Barberis

European Future Innovation System Centre (EFIS)
D. in Social Studies and Humanities, with a master's degree in Environmental and Regional Policies for Sustainability and Local Development, and a bachelor's degree in International Relations. With more than 10 years of experience, he has worked in disaster risk reduction, resilience, sustainability and socioeconomic impact assessment. She has developed projects in Latin America and Europe on urban regeneration, citizen participation and crisis management. Currently, at EFIS Centre, he leads the FUTURESILIENCE project, focused on digital and green transformation. His work connects research with society to generate real impact on decision making.



Ramón Aguirre

Profesional, Ciudad de México
Architect and director of the Instituto de Bóvedas Mexicanas y Tecnologías Regionales. A specialist in earth construction, he has published the book Bóvedas Mexicanas de Adobe y Ladrillo (Mexican Adobe and Brick Vaults) and has compiled BIOconstrucción en el mundo, detalles constructivos (BIOconstruction in the world, construction details). He has advised the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and is a member of the Ibero-American Network PROTERRA. Eva Sander

COMBI ROSA
Eva Sander is a social designer with more than 25 years of experience in strategic communication, transmedia storytelling and social entrepreneurship. As a specialist in social innovation and sustainability, she has collaborated with global companies, technology startups and civic projects. She teaches at CENTRO and is the founder of La Combi Rosa, a project linked to health and sustainability approached from the food system.


Valeria Fernanda Maurizi

UNPD, Mexico
Architect and academic specializing in participatory and regenerative design. She holds a PhD in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires, where she works as a professor and researcher. Her work focuses on the development of co-creation strategies for urban regeneration and sustainability, collaborating with local communities and international organizations. She has participated in multiple social and territorial innovation projects, exploring interdisciplinary methodologies for design with social and environmental impact.
