Professor Ochoa has a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Brazil, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). He is a candidate for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the UFSC. He is a full-time professor at ITESO, where he is currently working on a research project titled "Energy efficiency and sustainability in manufacturing processes. Generation of machining trajectories."
